Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: March 2025

By enrolling in Powerspeed Taekwondo’s programs, events, or memberships, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These Terms apply to all monthly payments, payment refunds, test fees, board breaking fees, and tournament fees.

1. Monthly Payments

  1. Payment Schedule and Methods

    • Due Date: Membership fees are due on the date of Registration and every month thereafter until the contract is fulfilled.

    • Payment Methods: We accept payments via credit card, debit card, or direct bank transfer, subscription, cash and checks.

    • Recurring Billing: Your membership fee will be charged automatically each month. Please ensure that your payment details are up-to-date to avoid the interruption of membership

    • Late Payments

      • If a payment is not received by the due date, a late fee of $25.00 may be applied, and services may be temporarily suspended until the account is brought current.​

 

Payment Refund Policy

  • Non-Refundable Charges

    • Monthly membership fees, once processed, are non-refundable except as otherwise provided in these Terms.

  • Cancellation Policy

    • Member Cancellation: To cancel your membership, you must provide written notice at least 30 days prior to the next billing cycle.  An early termination will result in 50% payment of outstanding balance of the remainder of the months of membership.

    • Refund Conditions:

      • No pro-rated refunds will be issued for partial months.

      • If Powerspeed Taekwondo cancels a scheduled session or event, a refund or credit will be provided at our discretion.

    • Membership Freeze

      • You may freeze your membership for a month, twice per year but with the understanding that the contract will be extended until all contracted months have been fulfilled. ($65.00 Freezing fee per month will apply)

  • Dispute Resolution

    • Any disputes regarding payments or refunds should be submitted in writing. We will review and resolve such disputes on a case-by-case basis.

Private Sessions

  • Scheduling and Fees

    • Private sessions are offered on a one-on-one basis with a qualified instructor. Booking for private sessions requires payment at the time of reservation. The session fees are set at $75.00 per session.

  • Cancellation and Rescheduling

    • Cancellation by Member: A minimum notice of 3 days is required for cancellation or rescheduling of a private session. Failure to provide the required notice may result in forfeiture of the session fee.

    • Cancellation by Powerspeed Taekwondo: Should a private session be cancelled by Powerspeed Taekwondo, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule without penalty.

  • Non-Refundability

    • Once a private session is confirmed and held, fees are non-refundable unless a session is cancelled by Powerspeed Taekwondo.

3. Test Fees

  • Fee Assessment

  • Test fees for belt examinations or proficiency assessments are charged at the time of registration for the test. Promotion fees are required based on rank of belt being tested.   

  • Non-Refundability

    • Test fees are non-refundable after the test has been scheduled.

  • Rescheduling and Cancellation

    • If you are unable to attend a scheduled test, you may request a reschedule with a minimum notice of 3 days. Rescheduling is subject to instructor approval and may incur an administrative fee.

    • Should Powerspeed Taekwondo cancel a test session, the test fee will be fully refunded or credited toward a future test.

 Board Breaking Fees

  • Fee Assessment

    • Fees for board breaking events, demonstrations, or classes are charged per session and are set at [insert fee amount].

  • Non-Refundability

    • Once confirmed, board breaking fees are non-refundable.

  • Cancellation Policy

    • If a board breaking session is cancelled by Powerspeed Taekwondo, you will receive a refund or credit at our discretion, subject to the circumstances of the cancellation.

Tournament Fees

  • Registration and Fee Payment

    • To participate in a tournament or competition, full payment of the tournament fee must be made at the time of registration.

  • Additional Costs

    • Any additional costs incurred (such as travel or accommodation expenses) are the sole responsibility of the participant.

6. Amendments and Updates

  • Powerspeed Taekwondo reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be communicated via email or posted on our website.

  • Continued participation in our programs after such amendments will be deemed acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.

7. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
